Family policies

We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.

Children stay home with a fever or an illness that spreads, and come back when they are well enough for a whole block. If your child gets ill here, we call you right away and ask you to come as soon as you can.

A teacher hands your child back at the room door. We release a child only to an adult on your pickup list, and we ask for photo ID from anyone we don't know. After dark, a teacher walks each family to the door.

A block ends at the time you reserved. If your appointment runs long, text us and we keep your child with a teacher. Time past the end of a block is billed as time in care, and we give you the written policy when you register.

Morning and afternoon blocks have a snack, and evening blocks have supper at the long table. Babies eat beside it on their own schedule. Tell us about any allergy when you register; once your child is enrolled, we ask again in private.

Infants sleep on their backs, in their own cot, with nothing else in the cot. An older child who is tired rests on a mat in the quiet corner, with a teacher in the room.

Send a change of clothes and a water bottle, and clean socks for the play room. For babies, bring bottles and milk or formula, with each bottle labeled.

Reserve the day before when you can, and walk in when there is room. We close on the main holidays. In bad weather we text families before the morning block, and when a teacher is out, a backup teacher steps in.
